Having worked in IT for too long across multiple industries, when M365 and in particular Intune came along, it was a game changer for endpoint management, but there are a few small shortcomings. Firstly, for my whole career, backups have been absolutely critical, servers, data, everything needs backing up (often to off-site tapes), so why isn't this an option with Intune/Defender/Purview? What if your Cyber Insurance requires backups? This is where Tenant Manager began, securely backup and restore those critical settings and policies. What if you want to take things a step further and not test in production? Adding a second tenant is easy enough, but manually re-creating settings seems like a backwards step.
